Colorado’s Role in a 21st Century America

As part of a 21st Century American strategy, the U.S. has launched a domestic industrial and economic development policy, with a particular emphasis on advanced technologies. With the passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors and Science Act (CHIPS Act), a total of $2 trillion will be invested in American advanced industries over the next decade. This provides a strategic opportunity for Colorado to shore up its advanced industries sector by drawing in funding from these federal opportunities.

Two of our immediate focus areas are quantum technology and semiconductors. Investing in these technologies allows us to bring in global diverse talent and ensures that Colorado remains a critical player in a fast moving, technological future for the country.
