Less than a three-hour drive from Denver, nestled in the expansive Rocky Mountains, lies the town of Steamboat Springs. This town is famous for their world-class outdoor recreation opportunities, attracting adventurers of all ages. 

 

Steamboat Springs proudly boasts more than 80 hiking trails of all levels, stunning scenery and endless opportunities to escape into nature for a while. Trailheads for these areas of outdoor recreation are minutes from the center of town. If warmer weather is more suited to your style, Steamboat Springs comes alive in the spring as the trees and flowers bloom and river activities abound. There are opportunities to get out on the river that runs through the town with paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing and rafting. The opportunities are endless to take in the sunshine and fresh snowmelt activities.

 

In summer, the town welcomes visitors who seek adventure whether it be camping, hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, biking, boating and rafting, recreational vehicles or tubing. There is even an alpine slide and a zipline. All of these opportunities find a home in Steamboat Springs throughout the summer and often, into the transitional seasons. 

 

And in the winter, the town welcomes skiers from around the world to experience world-class skiing for all levels. The town boasts and is renowned for some of the best snow known as Champagne Powder. The snow really does make a difference. For beginners, the fluffy snow is ideal to learn on and for experts, it makes it easier for them to carve down the mountain that much quicker. 

 

With all of these outdoor recreation opportunities, it’s no wonder why people gravitate towards Steamboat Springs to fulfill their need for adventure. There is always something for everyone and this charming mountain town offers incredible year-round experiences.
