The Colorado Minority Business Office, a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), has partnered again with the State Purchasing & Contracts Office, the Colorado Department of Transportation and Connect2DOT program to present the Advance Colorado Procurement Expo. The annual event, now in its ninth year, focuses on connecting small businesses with state and local government and corporate procurement officials.
This year’s event will be held on April 3 at the Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel, 3801 Quebec St. in Denver from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Additional information about the event is available here.
The Expo will include exhibits by small businesses as well as municipal and state government officials. Training sessions on government procurement, corporate roundtable discussions with major Fortune 500 players like Amazon, Panasonic, Office Depot, Cardinal Health, among others, as well as one-on-one sessions between government agencies buyers and sellers will be offered throughout the day.
This year, the Expo will feature keynote speakers Colorado Lieutenant Governor Donna Lynne, Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock and Jay Lindell, aerospace and defense industry champion at OEDIT.
Historically, the Expo attracts over 800 participants. Small businesses including businesses owned by minorities, women and veterans seeking greater exposure to the procurement process are encouraged to participate.
