The Export Grant is a financial assistance program administered and funded by the MBO in partnership with the SBDC and the World Trade Center. The grant and training provide an educational pathway and equip small and medium-sized minority and women-owned Colorado businesses to develop a strategic plan for export markets and to help offset the costs of international business development.

Grants may be used for international business development and marketing projects and include airfare and lodging in a foreign market, foreign trade show exhibition and conference costs and targeted advertising in overseas industry trade publications.
Due to the great success the Leading Edge for International Opportunities Grant Program had in 2016, a new round of export grants is now available to minority and women-owned small and medium-sized businesses in Colorado. Grants of up to $10,000 are available to companies that are new to exporting or are expanding into new export markets.
Applications for the new round of grants are now being accepted. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2017. The application and eligibility requirements can be found here.
Companies interested in applying for the export grant will be required to participate in a 48-hour exporting course with the World Trade Center (WTC). The training course will provide practical training for small businesses on all aspects of international trade, and is available in-person or via recorded webinar. The SBDC is covering the cost of the course.
Completion of the course will provide participant businesses with 5 or more hours of complimentary SBDC consulting, a WTC export certificate, an annual membership to the WTC, and attendance to the 2016 WTC Annual Meeting.
