Colorado Is A Bright Spot In Lagging Solar Jobs Report

Solar jobs in Colorado have increased by 13 percent in 2017, ranking ninth nationally for solar jobs, according to the Solar Foundation. This is after jobs in the U.S. dropped by 3.8 percent last year. Factors like Governor John Hickenlooper’s Climate Action Plan and Xcel Energy’s quest for more renewable energy affect the amount of solar job growth there is in the state. Xcel, for example, aims to boost renewable energy to 55 percent over the next eight years.
