A falconry permit is required to practice the sport of falconry. The falconry permit is a joint State/Federal process. You need only apply to your State for a falconry permit; the Fish and Wildlife Service will cosign the State permit. Contact this office for information on all types of migratory birds.
Breeding application is done through this office. (Raising application is done through state)

Resident Raptor License: Must be licensed by both federal and state agencies. Jointly issued and cosigned. State Fee: $89.25 for 3- years, Federal Fee: $25 state application will be forwarded to federal government Requires examination Apprentice Class: must be 14 yrs of age or older and have a sponsor who is a master class. General Class: must be 18 yrs of age or older and have 2 years experience as an apprentice. Master Class: requires 5 years experience at general level.
Breeding license is separate from falconry license.
Importation Permit: Call for information regarding specific species.
Transfer of birds: Must notify Division of Wildlife.
All birds must be banded. (Different bands for different species.)
Non-Commercial Wildlife Park License required for possession of upland game birds.
