Local
Local Licensing Authorities

A new law was passed in 2007 (SB07-123 and SB08-224) that requires owners of elevators and escalators (conveyances) to arrange for inspections of their conveyances by a third-party inspector licensed by the Division of Oil and Public Safety, Conveyance Section.  Jurisdictions can be approved by the Division to inspect conveyances if they sign an agreement with the Division to regulate all conveyances in their territory and if their staff inspectors or appointed-inspectors are licensed by the Division.

A list of licensed inspectors can be found on the Division’s website at http://oil.cdle.state.co.us under the Conveyance Section link.
